Our client desired a “resimercial” look, so that both their employees and clients, could occupy a space that gave them a feeling of comfort and creativity; yet simultaneously encourages productivity-All while integrating technology solutions into the various spaces. Our scope of work was 6 offices, a reception area, large conference room, common areas, and an open “work-cafe”, with a satellite (“touch-down”) station. Wink’d is a full service eyelash extension studi Wink’d is a full service eyelash extension studio, located in the Downtown area of Silver Spring, Maryland. Their services also include nail services, and tanning. When they commissioned us for this project, their only requests were to have something pink, ultra-femme, fun, and somehow include a large pink “money wall”. Our concept that we went with was “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. We wanted to bring out the owners’ vision to have a space where women could have fun and enjoy themselves, and walk out feeling better than they did when they came in. To add to the ultimate feminine feel, we added curves, curves, curves! The two wall arcs for the bespoke bench and display area, were made to mimic the curve of a pair of eyes, and eyelashes. We recreated this curve in the suspended shelf in the reception area. We also implemented this in the hot-pink pendant light used to highlight nail polish, in the area between the architectural curves. In line with the concept, we had a floor to ceiling, pink money wall installed, with a neon sign centered, reading, “GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUND$”; as an “instagrammable” backdrop for those sitting in the curvy, tufted pedicure chairs. To add to their clients’ individual lashing experience, we had custom tufted pink velvet lash beds made. Commercial Bathroom “Facelift” project. 📷 Commercial Bathroom “Facelift” project. 📷: @mw.concepts Ivory Dental Centre is a high-end luxury dental office, located in the City Center area of Washington DC. IDC’s restroom already had great existing architectural elements in place, and they just wanted to do a “facelift” to an already great canvas. We added in a commercial vinyl mural wall-covering to the entire area. The design of the wall-covering was selected in part of the white area conceptually representing “toothpaste” being squeezed out of a tube. The mirror that was selected since it’s shape was similar to that of a “tooth”. We swapped the previous outlet covers out in exchange for satin brass outlet covers, for an added touch of luxe.
